Brock was outside of the mansion the Red Team had spent the night. "It may appear hard to believe but the Red Team is still in dreamland. Yes I know it's late but something tells me they didn't get a good night sleep. Well Sora, like you I don't know what really is going on, where does the extent of the Ultimate Challenge end? It's harder to tell with every day that passes. Let's hope the teams figure out in time. Let's see if the Red Team is ready to start what's left of this day. See you in a moment."

The Red Team was still inside the mansion they had arrived yesterday, they were all sleeping in the main hall at the entrance. Trunks was the first to wake up when something pinched his nose, he sat up and saw Cologne.

Cologne looked annoyed "I let you sleep in, but all of you look like you don't ever plan to wake up. How on earth have you gotten up to this point being so lazy?"

Trunks looked at the others, they were all asleep. "What time is it?"

"It 2:00 pm!"

"What!?"

"Yes, what are you people thinking?"

"It's just that we didn't get a very good night sleep."

"Of course not, this is not the most comfortable place to sleep in, but the rooms upstairs are a whole different story. How come you didn't go upstairs?"

"Because of all the ghosts!"

"What ghosts? I didn't see anything."

Trunks thought to himself 'of course not, you probably scare THEM'. "In any case, we have to wake up the others and get going.

A moment later everyone was awake, Haruka was particularity mad. "How could we let this happen!?"

Tai tried to calm her down "Relax, it's only a few hours lost, couldn't help it."

"We should instead try to make up for lost time and get going." Makoto said.

"Quina agree, don't like it here."

"Let's get going then." Trunks said.

The Red Team was leaving the house when suddenly they heard a voice "Hey wait!". They turned around and saw an old lady floating around on top of a crystal ball.

"Ury!" Cologne yelled.

"Cony!" yelled the other old woman.

"Who is that?" Agumon asked.

"Beats me!" Tai answered.

"Her name is Uranai Baba, she and I go way back." Cologne said.

"I can't even imagine how much time that is." Tai said.

"How are you Cologne? It's been a while." Said Uranai Baba.

"Fine, fine, I've been helping my daughter getting married with her fiancee, it's a shame he's not more cooperative."

"Same old, same old..."

"What are you doing here?"

"I've been running a small ghost motel, which you spent the night in."

"A ghost motel?" asked Makoto.

"That explains a lot." Trunks said.

"But since you people are with Cologne I won't charge you."

"This is just routine now." Tai said "but do you work for the Ultimate Challenge too?"

"Hehe, it seems you're getting the hang of this son. You're right."

"Does this mean we'll get a badge?" Trunks asked.

"Or at least good munchies?" Quina asked.

"Yes, after you do me a little favor. There's a client who needs to find her way here, she appeared in a temple a couple of days ago but hasn't able to get here."

"She got lost?" Makoto asked.

"Um... no, she only gets... distracted. I need you to bring her here and you'll get your badge."

"What does she look like?"

Uranai Baba floated down to the ground and got off the crystal ball. Suddenly an image appeared in the crystal ball. "It's actually a ghost pokemon, her name is Misdreavus."

"Quina find pokemon."

"Sure! We'll find her." Trunks said.

"Where is she?" Haruka asked.

"The temple she appeared in is not far from here, just go west. You can't miss it."

"Thanks!" Tai said.

"Let's get going then." Haruka said.

"It's a shame I have to leave so quick." Cologne said.

"Hey! When you come back least at least have some tea." Uranai Baba said.

"I'll be looking forward. to it."

The Red Team and Cologne left.

While walking through the woods Trunks talked with Cologne. "So what do you think is my biggest problem?"

"You don't have any discipline, you can't even control you're own chi"

"Now wait I sec, that I can do!"

"It's true that your saiyan nature let's you focus it, but that is not chi mastery."

"You probably got things mixed up, I know more than what you think."

Suddenly Cologne hit Trunks on the head with her stick, he grabbed his head in pain. The whole team stopped to watch what was happening. "Did you see that coming?" Cologne asked.

"Ow... no!"

"Then you don't know anything boy."

Suddenly Trunks threw a punch at Cologne but she avoided him easily, he got hit on the head again.

"You are in more trouble than I thought." Cologne said "If you really want to improve on your skills you have to learn a lot."

Trunks looked at Cologne "I... guess you're right. That's why I asked you to come with us."

"Fine, I'm going to teach you some things. Now I want you to remove your shirt."

"What? Why?"

"Are you going to question everything I tell you?"

"Um.. sorry." Trunks took off his shirt.

Makoto had to control herself from drooling, he did have a good looking body.

"Now this is going to hurt a little." Cologne said.

The Red Team continued the journey, Tai and Agumon kept making fun at Trunks.

"You look like Togemon!" Agumon said.

"Yeah!" Tai said "You only need to be green."

Trunks was still shirtless and had pins stuck all around his torso, oddly enough there wasn't the slightest trace of blood. It did hurt a little. "Stop it, I'd like to see you in my position."

"I wouldn't" Makoto said "Tai would not look that good."

Haruka asked Cologne "What is that for?"

"I placed those pins in strategic regions, it kills most of his sensations. Bet you he can't even fill the breeze."

"What's the point?"

"He will awake to other sensations that most people ignore, in time that is."

"What kind of sensations?"

"The kind of sensations that makes skilled fighters so strong."

Suddenly Agumon yelled "Hey Makoto, Haruka! Why don't you take the training too?"

Haruka and Makoto stopped and stared at Agumon, Tai had to hold him in place and keep his mouth shut.

"Sorry, he doesn't know what he's talking about. Nobody wants to see you take your shirts off."
Makoto and Haruka now stared at Tai.

"That's not what I meant, I mean any would want, but not want, I mean..."

Quina interrupted Tai. "Tai, when choking it silly to keep eating."

"Huh?"

"S/He is telling you to shut up before you make it worse." Cologne said.

Suddenly Quina saw something that caught his/her attention, S/He ran ahead and stopped when she reached a plant.

The rest of the team caught up. "What is it now Quina?" Haruka asked.

"This special plant, makes good spice."

"Is there one second when you don't think about food?" Makoto asked.

"Why should? I like food."

Everyone but Cologne had a sweatdrop.

"Guess there's no point trying to change him/her." Trunks said.

"On the contrary." Cologne said "You could learn a lot from him/her, s/he doesn't have any inhibitions and acts how s/he likes."

"Yeah... getting us in a lot of trouble while s/he is at it." Tai said.

"In any case, let us continue." Haruka said.

The Red Team continued on their way.

Meanwhile...

Garnet was laying by a tree, she had cried herself to sleep. She had a piece of cloth tied around her left knee.

Zidane got close to her, the left leg of his pants had been ripped off up to his knee. "Garnet, I mean Dagger. Wake up."

Garnet er... Dagger woke up. "Why are you calling me that again."

"I just feel more comfortable calling you that in a situation like this, it reminds me how strong you are."

Dagger gave a faint smile before crying again.

"Hey, now don't do that. We've been in worse situations than this."

"But what about Steiner and Beatrix? oh I would never forgive myself if something happened to them."

"Don't you worry, I'll find them. Now let's get going."

"Why do you hurry me so much? I why won't you let me go back to Highthorn to get help?"

"We can't go back there, they might be expecting us. Besides, who would help us there? There's only one officer". Zidane didn't want to worry Dagger, but he knew something was following them.

Unknown to Zidane and Dagger, Kyougumon was watching them from a tree branch. "Why does she call me? She does not appear any different from the other humans I have seen. Maybe if I analyze her? She might hold a clue to telling me who I am. I better I act fast before those digimon come back". Kyougumon jumped off the tree and in front of Zidane and Dagger.

"What's that?" asked Dagger.

"I don't know, but I think it's been following us."

"What? Why?"

"I don't know."

Kyougumon stayed still. "You are calling me, or maybe I'm calling you? I need to find out, the darkness hurts so much."

"What are you saying?" Dagger asked.

"You better keep your distance." Zidane said.

Kyougumon didn't move. "You fear me, I fear you. Fear seems to be a constant in everything, what does it mean?"

"Zidane, do you understand what he is saying?"

"Not a word, but I don't trust it."

Suddenly Kyougumon started to get closer.

Zidane decided to attack.

Kyougumon easily avoided him by leaping over him. Before Zidane could turn around Kyougumon attacked. "Bubble blow!"

The small pink bubbles hit him on the back, exploding on impact. The explosions sent him crashing face first into a tree. He was knocked unconscious.

"Zidane!" Dagger yelled, he ran to help him but Kyougumon got in the way. "Get away from me!"

"I can't, even if I wanted too." Kyougumon said before leaping towards Dagger.

"Howling Blaster!!" suddenly a blue flame hit Kyougumon and he leaped away in pain.

Dagger turned around and saw a big blue wolf/tiger looking creature with a boy riding on his back.

Matt yelled "Get away from here! I'll hold him off."

Dagger felt she didn't have time to ask questions and went to help Zidane. "Life!"

Zidane woke up and felt restored. "What's going on."

"Let's get going!" Dagger grabbed Zidane's hand a ran off.

Zidane was still a bit confused but reacted quickly, soon he was the one guiding Dagger.

Kyougumon recovered and faced Garurumon "Why do I keep finding those who wish to anger me." Suddenly Kyougumon realized something, the creature in front of him had the same database that the one he had faced yesterday. He had changed to become stronger, just like the creatures in his visions, but they took a large period of time to change, this one had succeeded in doing so overnight. Was the code for the metamorphosis in his database? it must have been there even before it had change. If so then how was it unlocked? Did the human on top of him have something to do with it?

"Kyougumon!" Garurumon yelled "This time it's going to be a very different battle."

"You changed, you became stronger, if I remain like this I will die, that brings even more fear."

"Howling blaster!"

Kyougumon leaped to avoid the attack, while in the air he attacked Garurumon. "Bubble blow!"

Garurumon was hit on the face, he moved violently and Matt fell off.

"Garurumon!" Matt yelled "Are you all right?"

"That's the strongest bubble blow in the history of digimon, but that alone won't beat me. Where is the little guy?"

Suddenly Kyougumon came flying from behind, he hit Garurumon on the back of his head and knocked him off his feet.

"Garurumon!" Matt yelled.

"Bubble blow!!" Kyougumon attacked Garurumon from above.

Garurumon was taking a great deal of damage from Kyougumon's attacks, he was able to stand but Kyougumon kept attacking. Garurumon tried to avoid him but Kyougumon was too fast.
Kyougumon suddenly flew behind him and bit his tail.

Garurumon cried in pain, he moved violently to get him off but was unsuccessful.

Kyougumon used his strength and lifted Garurumon off his hind legs, shortly after Garurumon had been taken completely off the ground. Kyougumon spun him around and sent him crashing against a tree.

"Garurumon!"! Matt yelled. He looked at Kyougumon "What kind of digimon is that?" He ran towards Garurumon who was very weak.

"Matt... I'm sorry."

"It's not your fault, he is not a normal digimon. Let's show him what we can really do."

"OK, but I fell ashamed to have to do this."

"Me too buddy, but we have no choice." Matt's crest of friendship started to glow.

"Garurumon ultradigivolves to... Weregarurumon!"

Kyougumon couldn't believe it, the digimon had changed again in an instant. Yet this time he saw how this was possible. The human did hold the key to code that enabled such a change, he was able to link his database to the digimon's. Yet this made no sense to him, he had somehow linked the database of a human with his and nothing had happened. It must mean that both databases must be compatible in order to reach the evolution. Was Dagger's database compatible with his? Was that why he felt something towards her? His desire to find her was now even greater.

"Now this time I'll finish you" Weregarurumon yelled.

"Bubble blow!!"

This time Weregarurumon had no trouble avoiding Kyougumon's attack. He hit him with his paw and sent him crashing to the ground. Before Kyougumon could recover Weregarurumon kicked him and sent him crashing to a tree.

"I'll... I'll die because those who evolve make those who don't suffer. I... I... refuse to let that happen." Kyougumon started spinning really fast, he quickly started drilling his way into the ground and disappeared.

"No!" Matt yelled, he ran towards the hole to look inside, but couldn't see anything.

"I'm sorry Matt, I let him escape."

"Let's go look for Queen Garnet, something tells me we find her and we find Kyougumon."

"OK" Weregarurumon went back to being Garurumon. Matt got on his back and they went in the direction Dagger and Zidane had ran off.

Back to the Red Team (finally...)

The Red Team had arrived at the temple Uranai Baba had talked about, it was a small and deserted temple in the middle of the woods. They went inside looking for the ghost but couldn't see her anywhere.

"What do you guys think Uranai Baba meant with this pokemon being 'distracted'?"

"I think she means this ghost pokemon does other things instead of looking for her motel." Cologne said.

"Like what?" Makoto said. Suddenly she felt something pull her hair. "OW!! Stop that!!" she turned around and didn't see anybody there.

Everyone looked at Makoto.

"Are you all right?" Haruka asked. Suddenly her pants feel off to her feet, she quickly reach down to get them back up.

Tai got a particularity good view and got a nose bleed.

Agumon yelled "TAI!!! Your nose!!"

Everyone turned to look at Tai, he covered his nose quickly. "It's nothing! Just a booger!"

"A red booger?" Agumon asked.

Tai kicked Agumon on the knee. "Shut up!"

"When I get my hands on whoever did this I'll make you he pays." Haruka said.

"OWWW!!" Trunks yelled. He felt the pins stuck in his torso started to vibrate, it hurt like hell.

"Everybody acting funny." Quina said "Maybe you hungry?"

"Why do you think everything that happens to us is always because we're hungry?" Agumon asked.

"People act different when hungry."

"I think the one we're looking for is here and is playing with you." Cologne said.

Suddenly Tai started tap dancing. "Hey! What's going on?"

Then Agumon joined him "I can't control myself!"

"We have to do something!" Makoto said.

"Send them to Vegas. They have good act." Quina said.

"I mean about the ghost."

Suddenly Quina's tongue started moving on it's own and wrapped itself around Quina's neck (or what would be a neck anyway...) like a scarf. "Uina ont ike his!"

Haruka yelled "You better show yourself before we decide to hurt you!". The only response was Haruka floating off the ground and hitting her head on the ceiling.

"Why hasn't she done anything to you." Trunks asked Cologne.

"Even ghosts know their limits, she has more respect for me."

"What can we do?"

"I can't tell you."

"Why not?"

"Getting this ghost to obey you will win you a badge, if I helped you it would be cheating."

"Ack.. you're right!"

"Will someone think of something?" Tai said "I'm getting tired!"

"Yeah... me too." Agumon said.

"aebe oust ungy." Quina said. S/he couldn't move her tongue at all.

"Ghost don't eat!" Makoto said.

"You know Trunks." Haruka said "Maybe you can try to sense the ghost?"

"I'll try." Trunks said. He tried to focus on the presence of the ghost, but had a hard time doing it.

"There's nothing, as a ghost she must not be emanating any chi"

"Do you really believe a ghost can manifest itself without using any type of energy?" Cologne said.

"Let me try again, try to make the least amount of noise that you can." Trunks said. He stood still and closed his eyes. He stood like that for a couple of minutes.

"How much longer those he plan to be like that?" Tai said "I don't feel my legs anymore."

"Tai... I don't want to dance forever." Agumon said.

"Ow!" Makoto felt her hair being pulled again.

Haruka occasionally floated to the ceiling every once in a while.

Quina was being slapped by his/her own tongue.

Trunks stood still for another half an hour. Tai and Agumon were falling asleep while dancing, Haruka was getting dizzy, Makoto was considering the benefits of being bald, and Quina couldn't get her mind off dinner. Suddenly Trunks opened his eyes and extended his hand, he shot an energy beam. There was a small explosion on the side of the temple and a large hole resulted of it.

"Did you get it?" Makoto asked.

Suddenly Tai and Agumon stopped dancing, Quina regained control of his/her tongue. Makoto relaxed her head and Haruka stopped floating. Misdreavus revealed herself just besides the hole in the wall "Missss..."

Trunks smiled "Yeah, but not by much."

Misdreavus floated toward Trunks "Misdreeeevus.."

"She says she's sorry, but she wants to let us know that she had fun." Agumon translated.

"I still can't understand how they communicate so much by saying so little." Tai said.

"Well that makes me feel better..." Haruka said.

"Quina will only feel better if Quina eat right now!! Quina get grouchy when hungry, you don't want grouchy Quina."

"Oh boy, s/he might mean it." Cologne said. "Let's get going."

"Misdreeeeevus..."

"She says she's ready to go now." Agumon said.

"After all she did, it the least she could do." Makoto said.

On their way outside Cologne talked to Trunks. "You learned fast, maybe you did have something to you after all."

"Yes, maybe." Trunks said.

The Red Team was just leaving the cabin when suddenly they heard a voice "QUINA!!!". They all turned around and saw Zidane and Dagger.

"Zidane? How are ya?" Quina said.

"You know them Quina?" Haruka said.

"Of course, Zidane big hero."

Zidane and Dagger caught up to the Red Team. "Am I glad to see you." Zidane said.

"First time you say that."

"I know, but this is an emergency. We may be being followed."

"By whom?" Trunks asked.

"There's no time to explain. Can you get us out of here?"

Suddenly they heard a voice "They won't take you anywhere, that's our job."

Everyone turned around and saw the Turks.

"You guys again?" Makoto asked.

"We told you to stay out of our business, and right now she's our business." Reno said.

"You!! You're the ones who took Steiner and Beatrix." Zidane said.

"What is going on?" Agumon said.

"I don't know, but I don't think these guys plan to invite her to a party." Tai said.

"We won't let them go with you!" Trunks said.

"Now why did you have to go and do that?" Rudo said "now we have a problem here, we have to beat you to bloody pulp."

"Are you kidding?" Makoto said "You're heavily outnumbered."

"Not that we even need it." Tai said with confidence "Agumon could take care of you."

"Elena..." Reno said.

"Yes Reno?"

"Call them."

"Are you sure? You said Turks don't need help."

"I know, but... I don't want to get my suit too dirty."

"OK". Elena took out a small device and pressed a button.

Suddenly there figures appeared in the sky, they arrived quickly and landed in front of the Turks. They were androids #24, #25 and #26.

"Oh goody." #25 said "New toys! I'm going to hug'em and love'em and squish them till their guts fall out."

"This looks serious!" Trunks said while removing the pins from his torso.

"Looks like we can't avoid a fight." Makoto said "Jupiter Crystal Power! Make up!"

"Uranus Planet Power! Make up!"

"Agumon digivolves to... Greymon!"

The Red team stood ready to face the androids and the Turks. Zidane stood by their side. Cologne went to help Dagger, Misdreavus was following her. "It may be best that I help you get far away from here."

"But I want to help." Dagger said.

"You can help by being safe and letting their minds focus on their opponents instead of you".

Cologne and Dagger left.

The two groups clashed. Zidane attacked Rudo, Greymon attacked #25, Trunks went against #24, Haruka faced #26, Makoto was ready to battle Reno, and Quina was stuck with Elena (or was it the other way around?)

Zidane was quick and got Rudo by surprise, he attacked with his dagger and made a ripple on Rudo's suit. Rudo tried to hit Zidane but he moved away before he could. Zidane stood a couple of yards away from Rudo. "Come on! Can't you keep up?"

Rudo said "You think your speed will be enough?"

Zidane showed Rudo he was holding his boxer shorts. "It helps."

"Grrr..." Rudo attacked Zidane.

Greymon stood tall over #25.

"Uuuuh... are you by any chance related to Barney? I love you... you love me... I'll kill without mercy..." She took off flying.

"Nova Blast!!" Greymon attacked with a fireball.

#25 easily avoided it, she then charged at Greymon and hit him on the stomach. Greymon was left without air, but #25 was not done yet. With amazing strength she started to pick him up.

"Greymon!!" Tai yelled.

#25 flew up high with Greymon. After reaching a really high altitude she let go of him.

Greymon was about to fall when suddenly #25 grabbed him by the tail. "Don't worry, I won't let you fall like that. I can make it hurt more!" She flew against the ground at an incredible speed while holding Greymon's tail. Right before reaching the ground she stopped and let go of Greymon's tail, letting him smash into the ground.

"Greymon!" Tai yelled as he ran to help his friend.

Trunks exchanged punches with #24, but was getting the worse end of it. #24 seemed more skilled. Suddenly #24 caught Trunks' hands and held him in front of him.

"You better have more than that." #24 said.

"You bet I do." Trunks said. He gave a small hope and placed his feet on #24's legs while his hands were still being held. He tried to stretch and was almost successful on tearing #24's arms off. If only had hadn't let go, but there was some damage anyway.

Sailor Jupiter attacked Reno with everything she had. She threw many punches but Reno avoided them all, she then decided to attack with her power. "Jupiter sparkling wide pressure." She shot an electricity ball which almost hit Reno but he was able to barely dodge, he did trip on his own feet and fell on the ground. Jupiter charged at Reno but he placed his feet on her belly and threw her behind him.

Sailor Uranus attacked #26. "World Shaking!"

#26 stopped her attack with his hands, he didn't have to put up much effort.

Uranus charged and threw a punch, she hit him right on the face.

#26 didn't even flinch, he even smiled. He grabbed Uranus by the neck and lifted her up. He then punched her on the gut and she feel unconscious.

Elena didn't even know how to approach Quina, what could that big white thing do anyway? She decided to go with the direct approach and charged at Quina.

Quina smelled something sweet, she ran towards Elena who suddenly freaked out. "What that smell? so sweet!"

Elena had a sweatdrop. "What are you talking about? Don't get any closer!"

"Smell like cherries! You have cherries?"

"Damn! I knew I shouldn't have used that cherry scented perfume today."

"Quina want cherries! Quina hungry!! Give Quina cherries!!" Quina started chasing Elena.

Trunks fought #24 with might, since #24's arms where damaged he was only defending and attacking with his legs. Trunks thought he had found a clear opportunity when something hit him on the back and sent him crashing against a tree.

#24 looked at #25 who had kicked Trunks away. "What's the matter?" #25 said "Can't handle pretty boy?"

#24 stared coldly at #25.

Zidane and Rudo where going at it pretty hard, both had taken their deal of damage.

"What did you do to Steiner and Beatrix!?" yelled Zidane.

"None of your business."

"It's definitely my business and I'm going to take it out of you!" Zidane was about to attack but #26 got on his way.

#26 punched Zidane and knocked him out before he could even react.

"I could have taken care of him." Rudo said

#26 just smiled.

Reno and Jupiter were still fighting. Neither one had really received much damage, Reno did hold back a bit against a woman.

"You know, you're pretty strong." Reno said "You would make a good Turk."

"Thanks but no thanks!!"

"It's a shame, because we Turks always win. You know why we always win."

"Shut up!" Jupiter charged at Reno but he avoided her. The moment Jupiter was beside him he took out his electric stick and hit her on the back. She received a pretty large shock and fell unconscious.

"Because it's our job to win."

Rudo and Reno regroup and saw Elena walking towards them, she was all wet in saliva.

"What happened to you?" Rudo asked.

"I don't want to talk about it.." Elena said.

Behind them #26 was holding Quina.

"Hehe, how disgusting it must have been." Reno said.

Tai saw that they were loosing big time, he took out the only powered badge he had. But a small energy beam hit him on the hand and made him drop it. He looked at the sky and saw #24.

"Now don't do that, it will spoil the fun." she flew down and landed in front of Tai. "You better give up if you don't want to end up like your friends."

"Grr.." Tai didn't know what to do. He could try and get the badge but #24 would fry him before he knew it. "I guess I have no choice..."

Suddenly some kind of portal opened in the sky, fire came out of and the air felt hotter.

"What's going on?" #24 asked.

Suddenly the mighty fire Eidolon Ifrit came out of the portal.

"What the hell?"

Suddenly Ifrit started gathering his energy and made a really large fireball.

"I wouldn't want to get hit by that." Elena said while running away.

"Hey, what kind of attitude is that for a Turk?" Rudo said, but when he turn to look at Reno he noticed he was right behind her. "Hey wait for me!"

The androids regroup and were ready to attack Ifrit at the same time. They made one large energy beam and shot it at Ifrit.

Ifrit shot his fireball, both attacks crashed and made a large explosion. After that Ifrit went back to the portal.

The android had received the most of the impact but were not to damage. "Well, that wasn't too bad." #25 said.

Suddenly they saw Tai. He was standing next to Greymon who was just starting to recover. "It's not over yet!" He held the badge in his hand and it started to glow.

"Greymon ultradigivolves to... Metalgreymon!"

The androids stared at the now larger digimon. "Damn!" yelled #24.

"Giga blaster!!" Metalgreymon attacked the androids.

#24 and #25 avoided the attack but #26 was hit. The lower part of his body was completely destroyed.

#25 charged at Metalgreymon and attacked him like she did before. She was unsuccessful. at dealing any damage from hitting him on the stomach. She then flew to grab his tail to pick him up again, but again she was unsuccessful. Metalgreymon slammed his tail on the ground and #25 with it.
#24 knew this was not good. He somehow flew around Metalgreymon and picked #24 up, he then flew away picking #26 in the process. The androids fled.

Trunks was the first to wake up, he was back at the ghost motel ran by Uranai Baba. By now it was getting dark.

"What's going on?" Trunks asked.

Tai was besides him "Relax, we took care of them."

"Ahem..." said Dagger who was right behind Tai "with a little help."

"Yeah... thanks."

"How did we get here?" Trunks asked.

"I carried all of you." Agumon said.

"Thanks Agumon."

"Where are the others?"

"Quina is finally having dinner." Tai said "Makoto and Haruka are in another room being taken care of by Cologne. Zidane, well.. He's right besides you."

Trunks turned around and saw that indeed Zidane was laying besides him. "Oh..."

"Let's wait for everyone to wake up, we need to talk." Tai said.

"Yeah... I know."

"I'm sorry to trouble you like this." Dagger said.

"Hey! No problem at all." Tai said "That was some kick ass magic."

"Thanks."

Matt was riding Garurumon and were standing at some distance from Uranai's Baba motel.

"What now Matt?" Garurumon asked.

"Damn! Why did they have to be here? and Tai of all people!"

"Do you think Queen Garnet will be safe with them."

"We can't depend on that. We have to get her into our custody."

"But how are we going to do that?"

"I don't know, I'm also worried about Kyougumon, he probably hasn't attacked because they are too many. But I bet he's just waiting for the right moment."

"Do we have to keep guard?"

"Yes, we better. Just have to make sure they don't see us."

"OK Matt."

Suddenly a little beeping sound was heard. He took out a special communicator, it was the boss.

"Matt, have you found the Queen yet?"

"Um... yes, but I can't reach her right now."

"Why not?"

"Because she found the Red Team and sought their help."

"This is not good."

"I know, but what can we do?"

"You must stay close."

"I know, but are you sure Tai's digivice can't see mine?"

"Can you see his?"

"No."

"Then that's your answer. When you have the chance get her away from them."

"I understand, but I'd also like to inform you about a strange digimon around here, he's chasing the Queen. His name is Kyougumon."

"Kyougumon? This is more serious than I expected, you better get her here ASAP. Got it?"

"Yes sir!"

"By the way, I wanted to talk to you because I sent your brother in another mission."

"Another mission? Where is he going?"

"He's heading to the northwest point of the island. Our sources have told us that there have been sightings of Mew there. I sent your brother to check it out."

"OK, he won't fail you sir."

"Don't you fail me either."

"No sir."

"I'm out."

About an hour later everyone had gathered in the lobby. Uranai Baba gave Tai the badge they had won for taking Misdreavus there.

Haruka: "So... do you mind explaining us what is going on?"

Zidane: "It's an unpleasant story."

Dagger: "Steiner... Beatrix..."

Quina: "They coming?"

Zidane: "No, let me explain. We came to this island for a vacation, but to make it possible I had to convince Dagger to make a little lie."

Makoto: "Dagger?"

Zidane: "That's Queen Garnet's nickname."

Makoto: "Oh..."

Zidane: "Anyway... we told the people of Alexandria that their Queen had to make a political meeting here. But Steiner and Beatrix didn't know so they came here as her bodyguards."

Tai: "Bummer..."

Zidane: "We were out doing some pokemon watching when suddenly we were ambushed by those men in black suits."

Trunks: "The Turks..."

Zidane: "They used some sort of sleeping gas and both Steiner and Beatrix fell, I had no choice but to run with Dagger."

Cologne: "You did the right thing."

Zidane: "I know, but it's not over there."

Tai: "What else happened."

Zidane: "We met up with a little creature, he was as big as a melon and had little wings. He was brown and had green eyes."

The Red Team: "Kyougumon!"

Dagger: "You've seen it?"

Makoto: "We were actually walking around with him, or it's egg anyway. It hatched 2 days ago and ran away before we could do anything."

Tai: "Where did you see him?"

Zidane: "Right in this forest, not far from where we found you. Anyway, he kept talking about fear and calling Dagger and stuff, he was real creepy. I attacked it but he beat me with ease."

Agumon: "How can that be, he's only an in-training, he shouldn't be too strong."

Dagger: "I don't know about these digimon but this one was truly strong. I don't know what would have happened if that other blue digimon hadn't appeared."

Tai: "Blue digimon? What did it look like?"

Dagger: "He was really big, looked kinda a mix with a wolf and tiger. He shot a blue flame from his mouth."

Agumon: "Garurumon!"

Tai: "Matt..."

Haruka: "Is he another digidestined?"

Tai: "Yes, but what is he doing here?"

Zidane: "I didn't get much of a chance to see what was going on, if it wasn't for Dagger I would have laid there waiting my doom. After she helped me we ran away and that's when we saw you."

Trunks: "What do the Turks have to do with Kyougumon?"

Makoto: "What does Kyougumon want with the Queen?"

Haruka: "Do you remember something? Quina brought us the egg that digimon came out of right after we met up with the Turks for the first time. There must be a relation."

Trunks: "And I bet the Red Ribbon is behind it all, I mean where else could those androids could have come from?"

Tai: "Quina, where did you get that egg anyway?"

Quina: "I already told you, I get from lizard nest."

Trunks: "That's odd, what would it be doing in a lizards nest?"

Zidane: "You'd been with Quina all this time and still don't understand him/her?"

Makoto: "Huh?"

Zidane: "Quina, what did this lizard nest look like?"

Quina: "It be under rock, very large. Metal walls there, men with guns and white coats with RR written on them, egg be on center. Badge was under egg."

Haruka: "You call that a lizard nest!?"

Quina: "What else I call it?"

Cologne: "Your friend has an odd choice of words."

Trunks: "So the RR is behind it all, but I still don't understand how the Queen fits in all of this."

Tai: "You know what else bothers me? the badge! What was the badge doing under the egg? where we 'supposed' to find it?"

Makoto: "What are you saying Tai? that the ultimate challenge is somehow guiding us through this? That doesn't make sense!"

Haruka: "Cologne?"

Cologne: "Don't look at me! They just asked me to do my job, they didn't inform me about the entire structure of the project."

Uranai Baba: "Same here, they just gave simple instructions."

Trunks: "Who are they?"

Cologne: "We can't tell you."

Makoto: "This is kinda getting freaky."

Tai: "Hey, I just remembered something. Remember that odd building in New Alexandria?"

Trunks: "Well... it was kinda odd, but nothing to tell us that is has something to do with this."

Tai: "Well maybe there is, remember the disk that fell out of it?"

Haruka: "The one you gave Izzy?"

Tai: "Yes...it might be a clue you know."

Makoto: "Too bad we don't have it anymore."

Tai: "Sorry, but Izzy would probably be better at figuring it out anyway. We really must meet up with the Yellow Team again."

Dagger: "Yellow Team? Who are they?"

Trunks: "Mr. Goku, Ash Ketchum, Izzy, Tentomon, Freya and Ryoga Habiki."

Zidane: "Ah.. so that's were Freya is. Where's Vivi?"

The whole Red Team remained quiet for a moment, reliving bad memories.

Haruka: "That's what we'd like to know!"

Trunks: "Vivi is in the Blue Team, along with Ranma Saotome, Beruche Ayakashi, Kari, Mimi, Gatomon and Palmon. We've also met them with less desirable results."

Zidane: "Oh..."

Cologne: "You know, you haven't answered the most important question. What are you going to do now?"

Trunks: "Well we have to rescue Steiner and Beatrix no?"

Haruka: "But we don't know where they are."

Agumon: "How about the base they took us when we were just arriving? It's not that far away from here."

Tai: "Was there still something left after we left?"

Makoto: "Well it's the only clue we have. We might as well check it out."

Dagger: "Thank you for helping us."

Zidane: "Yeah, we appreciate it!"

Trunks: "No problem."

Tai: "That settles it, we'll leave first thing in the morning."

Makoto: "If we get to rest this time..."

Uranai Baba: "Don't worry about my other guests, they'll behave now."

Bakaneko: "I still want a bride!"

Uranai Baba: "Shut up!"

Bakaneko: "OK"

Haruka: "Something tells me a long day awaits us."

Brock was just outside Uranai Baba's ghost motel. "Just when we thoughts things were confusing enough we get this. Does the Red Team really plan to act against the Red Ribbon directly? What does the Ultimate Challenge itself have to do with all of this? Frankly I'm not making this questions just to keep audience interested, but don't mind if it has that effect. I'm really pondering what's happening here. Well we'll have to wait till tomorrow to find out more, or get confused more. See ya tomorrow!"
