Inside some cabin there are a couple of beds, both being used. The view gets closer to one of them and a light is turned on, the person sleeping is Minako She is waken up when the lights turned on.

"What is it? What? This early? let me sleep! Ask Sora to do it!"

The view transfers to the other bed, Sora is seen sleeping on it. She wakes up kinda grumpy.

"What do you want? You have to be joking! I'm not going to do it, ask Miiinaa... zzz..." Sora fell asleep.

The view now transfers to the corner of the room, Biyomon is sleeping on a nest. The view gets closer and Biyomon wakes up. "Oh... oh... what's going on? You want Biyomon to host today? Really? Biyomon will do her best!"

Biyomon is standing outside the cabin located somewhere in the swamp. "Good morning and welcome to the ultimate challenge! This is Biyomon, not Sora for those who can't tell the difference. Biyomon is hosting today, not Sora, Biyomon is hosting. Today... today... today..." Confused, Biyomon flew off screen, her voice was still heard. "What is happening today? Really? Ok!". She flew back and stood in view. "Today is a special day, the Yellow Team is arriving at the swamp, and the Blue Team is still at the same place so a meeting is unavoidable. What will happen when this two teams meet? Biyomon doesn't know, but Biyomon will find out. This has been Biyomon, not Sora, reporting for the Ultimate Challenge."

Kari woke up, it was still dark and she was still in the doctor's cabin. Apparently he didn't sleep there because he was nowhere to be found, but she was not alone. She saw Gatomon sleeping in the corner and Beruche who was awake and looking at some stuff. She was feeling better than yesterday but not fully recovered.

Beruche turned around and noticed that Kari had woken up. "Good morning, how do you feel?"

"I'm feeling better thank you. What time is it?"

"It's 5:22 am. It's still too early, you should go back to sleep."

"Have you been up all night looking after me?"

Beruche blushed "Ahem... no silly. I have been asleep all night, you just happen to wake right after I did."

"Where are the others?"

"In the cabin right next to this one."

"When I get a chance I'll call my mom and tell her to repay you for the medicine."

"There you go being silly again, you don't have to do that."

"My mom said to repay your debts."

"You don't owe me anything, I did it with pleasure. Besides, we're going to win $5,000,000 so what's the problem?"

Kari smiled. "You're a very nice person, it's hard to believe you worked for the bad guys."

Beruche blushed again "Thank you. Well life looks a lot different now that what it looked like back then."

"How was the world you lived in? Was it much different than ours?"

"Much different, and I'd really prefer not to talk about it."

"Ok, I understand."

"You're lucky Kari. You're growing up with a loving family, and you even have a life partner like Gatomon. When I had your age I had nobody, even my sisters were more like rivals back then."

"But you're with your sisters now, right?"

"Yes..."

Kari looked at Beruche. "But it's not enough, is it?"

Beruche looked at Kari in the eyes. "That's a very complicated comment for such a young girl."

"Is it?"

"I suppose it's not enough, but I don't know what is missing."

"Have you ever had a boyfriend?"

"A couple, not one lasted more than a week. My sisters seem to have the same luck."

"What went wrong?"

"I think that we're not affectionate enough."

"That can't be it, you have been affectionate with me and everyone on this team, well except Ranma."

Beruche giggled. "Well it's easy with you guys, it comes out naturally."

"That's the way it's supposed to be, there shouldn't be an effort to it." Kari stood up.

"Kari, get back to bed. You really should re..."

Kari hugged Beruche's leg. "Thank you."

Beruche stayed quiet, after a moment Kari let go and went back to bed. "Your welcome."
Just then Kari's digivice began to beep, Kari grabbed it and saw a small dot towards the east side. "Someone is coming this way."

"Oh no, don't tell me the Red Team is back." Beruche sighed "Well, I suppose we can take the opportunity to take our diamond back."

"I'm sorry to have affected the team like this."

"Don't blame yourself, it's not your fault. We just have to be ready for them. I'm going to talk to the others, they probably already know because of Mimi's digivice, if the are awake anyway. You stay here and rest ok?"

"OK"

"We'll be fine, you'll see." Beruche said before leaving.

The Yellow Team had entered the swamp, it didn't take long for Ryoga to step in a puddle and become P-chan.

Ash: "Have they started moving?"

Izzy: "No, they are still in the same spot."

Freya: "It appears our approach is working."

Goku: "I guess... but I'm still a bit sleepy."

Tentomon: "What are we going to do once we meet up with them?"

Freya: "Demand that they give us the emerald."

Izzy: "Something tells me they'll say no."

Freya: "That will make it more fun."

Ash: "You're starting to sound like Goku. What can we expect from the Blue Team?"

Izzy: "Well, about Kari's and Mimi's digimon. You have to consider Gatomon is a champion, do not let her size full you. Palmon digivolves to Togemon and even thought she's not the strongest, she is nothing to laugh at. Does anybody know anybody else."

Freya: "Vivi appears to be a coward and very shy, but he is actually quite brave. He'll unleash his most powerful spells when he needs it."

P-chan made some pig sounds. Tentomon translated. "P-chan says Ranma is a jerk, but a formidable opponent. Like him he is cursed and turns into a girl when wet?"

Goku, Ash, Freya, Izzy: "A girl!?"

Tentomon: "That's what he said."

Ash: "What about the other one? Beruche?"

Izzy: "I don't know anything about her."

Goku: "Hey, it's the mystery factor that makes it interesting."

Freya: "There didn't seem to be anything special about her when I saw her, but the again appearances can be deceiving."

Goku: "Tell me about it, I'm getting pretty excited."

The Yellow Team kept going.

Meanwhile...

Steiner woke up when someone slapped his face. A bright light hurt his eyes. His vision was blurry but he could make out 3 figures standing in front of him. He tried to move but realized his hands were tied behind his back and to a chair he was sitting on. "Who are you?"

"My name is Reno, and these are my associates; Elena and Rudo. We're known as the Turks."
"What have you done to the princess? You scoundrel!"

Reno looked at his companions.

"He must have been knocked out before they escaped." Rudo said.

"Escape?" Steiner said. He thought about what had happened yesterday...

Queen Garnet was looking at a couple of pokemon known as Ladyba. They were funny because they kind of looked like oglops, only a lot prettier. Then without warning there was a loud bang and he was surrounded in smoke. As much as he tried to fight it became impossible to stay standing. He fell to his knees and then to the ground. The last thing he remembered was queen Garnet saying 'Steiner! Beatrix' and Zidane saying 'Come here!"

Suddenly his concentration was broken by Reno shouting. "Pay attention! queen Garnet escaped with monkey boy. We need you to tell us where they are."

"I'm not telling you anything filth! Death before disgracing the knights of Pluto."

"You mean you're not cooperating?"

Steiner remained silent.

"You know, we need to get to your queen to protect her."

"You take me for a fool?"

"Yes, but that's besides the point. There's something out there, something that will eventually track down your queen and basically eat her. We want to prevent that."

"You expect me to believe that? I won't let scoundrels like you get anywhere near her."

"Man, the report said you were dense, but I never expected this."

Rudo cracked his knuckles "He needs to be softened first."

Reno looked at Rudo "Nah.. he's playing the knight in shining armor act. That won't work."

Elena laughed "There's nothing shiny about that armor."

Reno smiled "There are other, more simple ways.", he showed a picture to Steiner.

Steiner looked at the picture in disbelief. It was Beatrix, she was laying down and apparently unconscious. She was completely tied and in an awful place.

Reno put the picture back in his pocket. "She's fine, believe me when I tell you she's in a better position than you are. But you see if you don't tell us where we can find the queen then you'll be doing us a favor because she then becomes property of the Turks, and my pal Rudo likes to play rough with women."

Steiner reacted violently "You touch her and I'll personally cut off each of your heads!"

Rudo pulled down his shades. "That's my man Reno, you sure now what strings to pull."

Reno punched Steiner and knocked him to the ground. "You wouldn't believe how many threat we've received in our lives. Only you can decide what happens to this woman."

Steiner started crying. "You scoundrels, I swear by my life that you shall pay!"

"Listen, if you talk you'll be doing both of them a favor. We weren't lying before about protecting her."

"If you're so noble why did you attack us?"

"With overprotecting guards like you can you blame us?"

Elena spoke "You'll feel sorry when you realize your queen is no more and only because you didn't talk, but it won't bother us. We'll still have fun with your girlfriend."

"If you really want her protected then release me and Beatrix, we`re the ones who'll protect her to death." Steiner said.

Reno laughed "You don't know what you're up against, anything you tried would be in vain. Besides, that's not an option."

Steiner felt he was facing the worst dilemma of his life, he basically had to choose between his queen and Beatrix. "Do you promise me that you won't hurt the Queen nor Beatrix?"

"We don't do promises, we give guarantees. And you have a guarantee that no harm will come to either one of them. That is if we find the queen in time."

Back in the swamp...

The Yellow Team made it to a small village in the swamp. There were lots of Qu's walking around.

Ash: "What is this place? Everyone looks like Quina."

Freya: "This must be a Qu tribe. I never thought I'd find one here."

Goku: "Hey, if they all like food as much as Quina then there's bound to be delicious things everywhere."

Ash: "But what about the blue team?"

Izzy checked his laptop. "They're here all right, they must be inside on of the shacks."

No sooner had Izzy stopped talking that the Blue Team minus Kari came out of the doctor's shack.

Mimi: "Hey! That's not the Red Team."

Beruche: "Crud, this is not good."

Ranma-chan: "So much for your plan."

Both teams walked toward each other. Suddenly P-chan leaped towards Ranma-chan and started scratching his face.

"Hey get off me Ryoga!" Ranma-chan said. She grabbed the piglet and threw it out the ground, she ten started stomping on it.

Ash yelled "Hey! Pikachu! Thundershock!"

"Pika!" Pikachu zapped Ranma-chan.

Ranma-chan feel to the ground shocked. P-chan recovered and went towards the face again, but Beruche grabbed him and threw him to Ash.

Beruche: "Keep him under control will you!?"

Ash: "Hey Ryoga, you really don't like Ranma, do you?"

P-chan just faced away arrogantly.

Ranma-chan recovered and stood up "I swear one day I'm going to have a roasted piglet."

Freya: "Ahem.. in any case. We all know why we're here, what do you plan to do about it."

Mimi: "If you want our diamond you're out of luck, the red team has it."

Freya: "We know, we have met up with them, we also know you have the emerald. It makes no difference to us."

Tentomon: "Hey Palmon, how have you guys been doing?"

Palmon: "OK I guess, you wouldn't believe what we've gone through."

Gatomon: "It's been a heck of a ride."

Tentomon: "Yeah, same here."

Beruche: "So you want the emerald. Listen, we saw you coming. But we couldn't do anything about it because Kari is sick and she needs to rest."

Freya: "It's a shame, but we'll take the emerald anyway."

Vivi: "Freya, please understand. Our friend is sick and we're in no position to fight for the jewels."

Freya: "If that's the problem you can see the form Ryoga is in. It's still four on four."

Gatomon: "That's not the problem, I'll still fight even if Kari is not with me. The problem is that we can't take your Ruby because we have to stay here, but you can try to take the emerald and easily walk away."

Mimi: "It's not fair."

Freya: "Tough luck."

Ash: "Are you sure Freya? It doesn't seem right to take advantage of them like this."

Izzy: "I don't feel very comfortable either."

Freya: "Don't start that again, we already gave the Red Team a brake."

Ash: "Yeah, and looked what happened. We benefited from it."

Freya: "Listen! We can't go around forgiving everybody, we won't win that way."

Izzy: "I suppose you're right. We have to fight somebody at some time."

Goku: "NO! I don't like unfair fights. I won't allow it!"

Freya: "Goku! What are you saying, that we should just walk away. I'm sorry but I'm against it."

Ranma-chan: "We don't need any pity from you. We'll gladly fight if that's what you want."

Beruche: "For once I agree with Ranma."

Freya: "Fine by me!"

Goku: "No, this is not right."

Freya: "Will you stop that? I'm going to get that emerald with or without your help."

Beruche: "Wait! I have an idea, one that will sure to please both teams. It is completely fair."

Freya: "It must be a trick."

Izzy: "Let's at least listen to her."

Freya: "Fine."

Beruche: "How about we settle this sportingly. We can have 1 on 1 matches between our teams. First to win 3 out of 5 is the winner. If we lose you keep the emerald and leave, but if you lose you give us the ruby and leave, plus you'll give us 48 hours to give Kari a chance to recover. How about it?"

Freya: "Why should we take that risk when we can just take the emerald?"

Goku: "We accept!"

Freya: "WHAT!? You can't do this."

Goku: "Hey I'm the captain, besides, this is going to be fun."

Freya: "Fine!"

Meanwhile...

Officer Jenny, Matt and Tk were in Highthorn's pokemon center.

"Man, I feel a little silly having Gabumon being treated in a place like this." Matt said.

"Don't be like that." Officer Jenny "They'll receive good treatment here."

"Is Patamon going to be all right?" Tk asked.

At the moment Nurse Joy came out to talk to them. "They'll both be fine, I have to say this has been very unusual, but interesting too."

"How is Gabumon?" asked Matt.

"They were both beaten very badly, but nothing to worry about. You can go see them if you want."

"Thank you!" Tk said before running into the room Joy came out of.

"Tk wait!" Matt said before running after him.

"Matt!"

"Tk!"

Gabumon and Patamon were glad to see their partners.

"Patamon! You're all right! I'm so happy" Tk said.

"I'm sorry to have worried you Tk." Patomon said.

"What happened to you guys?" Matt asked.

"Matt, it was a digimon. He's name was Kyougumon." Gabumon said.

"You shouldn't have fought Gabumon, you should have gone look for us to help you digivolve."

"Well, Patamon and I thought we could take care of him without your help. Kyougumon is an in-training."

"Are you saying you got beat up by an in-training?"

Patamon flew in front of Matt "It's not a normal digimon. It's very powerful."

"Matt, do you think this has to do anything with the Red Ribbon." Tk asked.

"I bet they have something to do with it. But right now I'm worried about Queen Garnet. She hasn't been seen since yesterday morning. Could she have been a victim of Kyougumon?"

"What are we going to do?" Tk asked.

"How are you feeling Gabumon."

"I'm feeling fine Matt, do you need my help?"

"Yes, I need you to digivolve and help search the whole forest if necessary."

"You can count on me Matt."

"Tk, I need you to search from the air."

"You can count on me big brother." Tk said smiling.

"I know I can. Let's go."

Back in the swamp...

The whole Qu clan had gathered around the center of the village, both teams were ready to face each other in 1 on 1 matches Ranma and Ryoga had been given hot water to get out of their cursed forms. Kari looked through the window of the doctor's shack. The match was about to begin.

Round 1: Togemon vs Ryoga.

Ryoga got pissed off "Hey Ranma! I thought you and I were ready to bring it on! Are you afraid?"

Ranma said "Sorry, but we prefer to leave the best for last."

Beruche giggled "But I let Ranma fight after me anyway."

Ranma stared at Beruche.

Izzy said "Be careful Ryoga, no way can you take your opponent too lightly."

Ryoga looked at his opponent, it was basically a little plant with feet and an flower on it's head, but if it was like Tentomon then he knew she wouldn't stay that way.

Mimi cheered for Palmon. "You can do it Palmon I have faith in you."

"I'll do it for you Mimi. Palmon digivolves to... Togemon!"

Ryoga looked at Togemon, she was not what he had expected. But then again, it did not matter to him. "Be ready to face my skill."

"I'm ready anytime!" said Togemon while punching her own hands.

Ryoga ran towards Togemon. "Breaking Point!" he buried his finger in the ground and there was a small potion, dust and dirt flew at Togemon.

Togemon covered her face, she didn't notice Ryoga coming in and kicking her foot. She lost her balance and almost fell, but when she recovered she came back throwing a punch.

Ryoga skillfully jumped to avoid Togemon's punch and landed on her hand, but quickly leaped away from her.

Togemon attacked quickly while Ryoga was still in the air. She started spinning around and yelled "Needle Spray!"

Needles flew everywhere. Everyone had to duck down to avoid getting hit. "Hey Togemon! Watch it!" Mimi yelled.

Ryoga saw the needles coming at him, he was able to dodge most of them while landing, and even grabbed one. The moment he landed he immediately ran towards Togemon with the needle in his hand.

Togemon threw a punch at Ryoga but he leaped to avoid it.

Ryoga hit Togemon with a flying kick sending her crashing into the ground, falling on top of Mimi.

"Mimi!" Vivi yelled.

Ryoga stood on top of Togemon and held the needle to her face. "I guess I win."

Togemon went back to being Palmon, Ryoga fell to the ground.

The Blue Team went to check on Mimi. Luckily Togemon's needles had prevented her from flattening Mimi. Yet the ground around Mimi was full of holes, there was even one on her skirt at knee level.

Palmon asked "Mimi, I'm sorry. Are you OK?"

"I... I... I'm... fine." said Mimi who was just laying there looking at the sky.

"I'm sorry."

Beruche sighed.

Round 2: Vivi Vs Kabuterimon.

Freya was talking to Tentomon. "You're lucky to face Vivi. He's excellent as a support warrior but he's pretty vulnerable when fighting alone. Just watch out for his magic."

"Got it, I'll give it my best."

"Vivi is pretty slow, if you move fast enough he won't be able to target you with his magic. Try to get behind him and attack him from there, he won't stand much of a chance."

"Thanks Freya!"

Izzy was cheering for Tentomon "Show them what you're capable, we only need to win 2 more."

"Hehe, I'll do my best."

Mimi was talking to Vivi. "So he's basically a big bug who fires electricity blasts."

"That's it?"

"What more do you want to know?"

"Weak points?"

"Um..."

"Strong points?"

"Um..."

"Style of fighting?"

"Um..."

"Never mind..."

Vivi and Tentomon where ready to go at it.

"Here I go! Tentomon digivolves to... Kabuterimon!"

Vivi stared at Kabuterimon who started flying above him. "Gulp."

Kabuterimon did as Freya had told him and flew around Vivi, trying to get on his back.
Vivi was barely able to keep him in sight, no way to target him with his magic. He tried to hit in a random spot and hope he was lucky enough."Firaga"

There was a fire explosion somewhere, but nowhere near Kabuterimon

"Thundaga!"

A bolt of lighting hit the ground near Mimi. "Hey watch it!"

"Blizzaga!"

An ice attack did get close to Kabuterimon, but missed anyway.

Kabuterimon had managed to position himself above and to the back of Vivi, he attacked "Electroshock!"

The electric blast hit the ground right behind Vivi and sent him flying, he landed a few feet away from the Yellow Team. He stood up, brush some dust of and looked for Kabuterimon. "Electroshock!"

Once again there was an explosion behind Vivi and was sent flying again. He landed a few feet away from his own team. He had more trouble getting up but was manage to do so. "Electroshock!"

Vivi turned around quickly and held his hand up "Thundaga!". The electricity wave forming in his hands was like a shield to Kabuterimon's attack. When they collided there was a some sort of wild electric reaction and a huge electric shockwave hit the entire area.

A second later everyone but Vivi was laying on the ground shocked, even Tentomon fell in smoke.

Vivi asked "Does this mean I win?"

Round 3: Gatomon Vs Pikachu.

"Ash..." Izzy said "Are you sure you want to use Pikachu for this? Wouldn't it be better to use the fire one, um... Charizard?"

"Are you kidding?" Ash said "Pikachu is just as good when he wants to be. Right Pikachu?"

"Pika!!"

"OK if you say so."

Gatomon was ready to fight, she could here Kari cheering from the doctor's shack. "You can do it Gatomon!"

Suddenly Ash stepped in front "Pikachu! I choose you!"

Pikachu stepped in front of Ash and looked very determined.

Gatomon had a sweatdrop. She yelled "Hey Ash! I just want to make it clear, this is NOT a pokemon match. I'm a digimon and this is a 1 on 1 fight!"

"I know that!" Ash yelled "But Pikachu and I fight as a team!"

"Fine!" Gatomon took a fighting stance.

"Pikachu! Quick attack!" Ash yelled.

Pikachu ran at high speed towards Gatomon.

"Gatomon! Fury swipes!" Beruche yelled.

Gatomon turned back and stared at Beruche "That's not funny."

In that instant Pikachu was able to tackle Gatomon and sent her tail first to the ground."

"What are you trying to do Beruche!?" Ranma yelled.

"Sorry, I couldn't help myself." Beruche said trying really hard not to laugh. "I won't do it again, promise."

"Pikachu! Thundershock!" Ash yelled.

"Pika! Pikachuuuuuu!" Pikachu used his electric attack.

Gatomon did a back roll and leaped to avoid Pikachu's attack.

"Keep the pressure up Pikachu! Quick attack!"

"Pika..ka..ka.." Pikachu ran towards Gatomon and leaped into the air.

Gatomon saw it coming and before Pikachu could catch her, she hit him on the head with her paw and sent him violently to the ground.

"Pikachu! Are you all right?"

Pikachu stood up ready to fight again.

Gatomon stood in front of him not far away.

"Thundershock!"

"Pikachuuuuu!!"

Gatomon did a backflip to avoid Pikachu's attack, it passed right below her and went all the way to where Mimi was standing, shocking her. "Ow...why me?" Mimi said before falling to the ground.

The moment Gatomon landed she leaped again towards Pikachu. In an instant she was behind Pikachu with her back facing his. Pikachu just stood there for a moment and then fell unconscious.

"Pikachu!" Ash yelled as he ran towards his friend. "Are you all right"

Pikachu didn't respond.

"Don't worry, he'll wake up soon enough." Gatomon said while walking back to her team.

Ash still worried about Pikachu.

Round 4: Beruche Vs Freya.

"You don't know how lucky I feel to face you." Freya said "I feel it's my duty to teach you a lesson."

"I really hope it's not a beauty lesson." Beruche said.

"Enough! I'll end this quickly!" Freya leaped into the air.

"Have it your way." Beruche raised her hands above her head and made a blue ball of energy and threw it upward. "I learned this trick from fighting the first guardian." Beruche then opened her hand and threw some sort of energy at her ball and made it explode. A small blizzard was the result.
Freya's vision and movement in the air was crippled by the blizzard, she couldn't attack Beruche from the air and landed without throwing her lance. She hadn't noticed that the ground had been covered in ice, she slipped and fell on the ice.

"Don't take me so lightly!" Beruche said while running.

Freya saw Beruche coming and tried to leap out of the way, but Beruche punched the ground and an ice pillar shot from the ground diagonally towards Freya. It reached her feet and stopped there, Freya was left hanging from the pillar.

Beruche suddenly appeared floating in front of Freya. "When's the lesson going to start?"

Freya took a wild swing with her lance but Beruche disappeared.

Beruche reappeared sitting on the edge of the pillar right above Freya.

"You became overconfident, I'm not so easy to defeat."

"Grr... you're right. I didn't expect this much of you, but you haven't won yet. Ahhh!!" Freya's lance had become cold as ice and she had to let go, it dropped to the ground.

"Anybody want frozen rat on a stick?" Beruche said.

"Boy, Beruche can be annoyingly arrogant at times" Vivi said.

"You just noticed?" Ranma said.

"Now hand over the ruby!" Beruche said.

"You are now making the same mistake I did. Dragon's Crest!"

Suddenly a funny looking crest formed from the pillar and an energy dragon came out if. It attacked Beruche and destroyed the pillar at the same time. Freya was freed and grabbed her spear when she reached the ground.

Beruche fell to the ground on her back. "What... what was that?"

"The spirit energy of the dragons I've defeated." Said Freya "Now feel the wrath they feel. Luna!"

Beruche suddenly felt very angry, her thoughts were blurred and she thought about was attacking Freya. She stood up and rushed towards Freya.

Freya just leaped out of the way, using Beruche's head as a stepping stone. Freya landed in front of Mimi.

"Argh!!" Beruche threw and ice beam at Freya but she leaped out of the way.

Mimi ducked but the ice beam hit her hat. She took it off and saw it was completely frozen. She dropped it because of the cold and it shattered when it hit the ground.

Freya was still in the air, he threw her lance backwards with the sharp edge on the back. It hit Beruche right in the forehead and knocked her out instantly.

Freya grabbed her lance is it bounced off Beruche, she stood in front of her. "Feel free to review the lesson anytime you want."

The Yellow Team cheered "Yay Freya!"

Mimi and Vivi went to check on Beruche, she only had a big bruise on her forehead, and she was completely out of it.

"Now it's my turn." Goku said "I'm pretty excited, hehe."

Round 5: Ranma Vs Goku.

Beruche had woken up in the doctor's shack, the first thing she saw was Kari's face. "What happened?"

"Are you OK?" Kari asked.

"Um...kinda." Beruche sat up "I... lost didn't I."

"Yeah... but don't worry, Ranma will win the next one."

"I didn't even know what hit me, I wasn't thinking clearly."

"Don't worry about it, you were doing great."

"Apparently not good enough. Has Ranma started fighting yet?"

"Not yet, they're about to begin."

Beruche tried to stand up, but she felt out of balance and fell back on the bed.

Kari helped her lay back again "Something happened to you, you should rest instead. I'm going to look out the window and tell you how it goes. OK?"

"OK"

Ranma and Goku were now facing each other a few yards apart.

"Hey Ranma!" Goku yelled "I've heard some good things about you, hope you're as good as they said."

Ranma smiled "Well I've heard a lot more about you, and don't think I'm intimidated by your saiyan blood."

"I'm glad to hear that, this is going to be a good battle. Be warned thought, I'm not holding back."

"I'm not expecting you to. Be ready to feel the wrath of the Saotome legend in martial arts."

"Wow! This is going to be better than I thought."

"If you like good battles, then I'll give you the best."

"What are they doing?" Ash asked "Why don't they start the fight already?"

"Well..." Izzy said "Whenever there is going to be a martial arts battle the two fighters always talk a lot before fighting."

"Why do they do it?"

"How am I supposed to know? They just do it."

"OK, OK"

"Ready?" Ranma said.

"Let's get it on." Goku said.

Ranma charged at Goku.

Mimi was cheering for Ranma "Go Ranma, you can do..." She hadn't even finished the sentence when Ranma was thrown back and landed in front of her.

"It's too early to see stars." Ranma said.

"Don't tell me it's over all ready!" Mimi said.

Ranma stood up quickly "Of course not, that was just a lucky punch. It won't happen again. Ranma charged again.

"Try not to..." before she knew Ranma was laying in front of her again.

"Now it's birds, blue and red and green and..."

"Ranma! What's wrong?"

Ranma stood up quickly again. "Nothing, just two lucky punches in a row." He charged one more time.

"B..." before she knew it Ranma was on the ground in front of her again. "Ranma?"

"No teacher, I did bring my homework."

"Ranma!"

Ranma stood quickly again. "I'm fine!" but then fell again like a stiff doll.

"Ranma!!!"

Ranma stood up yet again.

"Don't tell me there have been 3 lucky punches."

"It does happen every now and then."

"Yeah right..."

Ranma this time walked over to Goku.

Goku looked at Ranma "You know, I expected more..."

"This isn't over you know. I didn't think I would have to do this this early in the battle. Time for the Saotome Desperation Attack!!"

"Wow! That sounds impressive!" Mimi said.

"Show him what you got Ranma!" Vivi said.

Ranma launched himself at Goku. "Saotome Desperation Strike 1! Fox-Fu!!" he then pointed behind Goku. "Hey what's that?"

Goku turned around "What? Where?"

Ranma took the opportunity and punched Goku on the left side of his face, Goku was sent flying a short distance and landed on his back.

"That's the desperation attack?" Mimi said with a sweatdrop.

"Well.. you have to admit one has to be pretty desperate to do something like that." Vivi said with a sweatdrop as well.

Goku stood up and yelled "Hey! That's not fair!" Goku charged at Ranma.

Ranma was ready "Saotome Desperation Strike 2! Feline-Fu!!" he pointed at the ground said "Is that a coin?"

Goku stopped and looked at the ground "Where?"

Ranma gave a small hop and landed on Goku's head, sending his head down towards the mud. He then leaped away.

Goku took his head out of the mud and spitted some mud out. "Ack! Stop that!" Goku said while getting up.

Ranma smiled "Fux Fu!" he pointed behind Goku "Now really, what is that?"

Goku turned around "What?"

Ranma got close to Goku and punched him on the back, sending him to the ground again.

The Yellow Team all had sweatdrops.

"You know, what Ranma is doing isn't right," Ash said "but Goku is making it TOO easy for him."

"Who would have thought being so naive was such a great weakness?" Freya said.

"Ranma..." Ryoga said.

Goku was getting pretty upset. "STOP DOING THAT!!" he charged at Ranma.

Before Goku could strike Ranma fell to your knees. "I'm sorry, it's just that you're so strong that I didn't know what else to do. Please beat me so we can end this."

Goku was a bit confused, he turned around to look at his team unsure of what to do.
The Yellow Team shouted "GOKU!! TURN AROUND!"

Ranma got up "Saotome Desperation attack 3! Flat-Frog-Fu!!" he kicked Goku on the butt and sent him flying.

"Ranma could join any american football team he wanted." Izzy said while he saw Goku on the air.
Ranma looked at his team with a smile and made a sign of victory.

Out of nowhere Goku came running back at full speed, he leaped and kicked Ranma in the back, sending him crash against Mimi. "It's not right to hit people on the back!!"

Ranma got off Mimi "Are you all right?"

Mimi was in a daze. "Um.. sure..."

Ranma went back towards Goku "Shall we continue the battle?"

Goku was kind of annoyed "Yeah.. but this is not what I expected."

Ranma walked up to Goku "You want a tip?"

"Um..."

Ranma grabbed Goku's shoulder and pointed behind him "See that Qu over there?"

Goku turned around and Ranma punched him on top of the head.

"You really shouldn't be THAT naive."

Goku grabbed his head in pain. "Ow...ow... OK, thanks for the tip."

"Mako Takabisha!!" Ranma made a large ball of chi and used it to blast Goku away. "and try to react quicker!!"

Ash looked at Goku going over him. "Goku should start earning frequent flyer miles."

A while later Goku came running back again, by this time the attacks had taken something out of him. "That was nasty, but hey... nice attack."

Ranma smiled "Thank you."

"But I'm getting tired of this, I'm going to show you what I've got." Goku charged at Ranma.

Ranma covered himself in defense, but Goku disappeared before striking Ranma. Ranma looked around but was hit on the back by Goku and was sent flying forward.

Goku moved so fast that he reached Ranma still in the air and grabbed his head and pushed it down.

Ranma was dragged in the mud as a result of this, the mud was wet enough to turn him into his female form.

"Hey!!" Ash said "This means victory for sure!"

"Are you saying women are weaker?" Freya said.

"Um.. no. I said it because... Goku got control of the battle."

"Yeah... right."

Ranma-chan got up and tried to clean as much mud off her face as she could. She quickly charged at Ranma "Kachu Tenshin Amaguriken!" she started throwing a blazing fast series of punches at Goku.

Even Goku had trouble blocking so many punches, Ranma finally landed a blow on his face. Goku was stunned for a fraction of a second, but that was enough for Ranma-chan to reach his shirt, pick him up and throw him away.

Goku regained control while in the air and landed on his feet, he turned around to face Ranma-chan but couldn't see her. He looked up and saw Ranma-chan coming at him with a flying kick. Goku caught her foot and started spinning her and after a while threw her away.

Ranma-chan tried to repeat Goku's move in the air and tried to land on her feet, but she was so dizzy that she landed on her head instead.

"Go Goku!" Tentomon said.

"Actually I'm impressed by Goku, even if Ranma turned female, he's not holding back."

Ranma-chan finally stood up, but before regaining complete control she felt a punch in the gut. Goku had been quick to strike, Ranma-chan was about to fall on him but he caught her by the stomach and picked her up. He threw her upwards and then leaped after her, he was able to reach a higher altitude than her and kicked her back to the ground.

Ranma fell to the ground flat on her stomach, Goku landed on his feet.

To Goku's surprise Ranma-chan was able to get up, he said "I'm impressed by your stamina, but it's pointless to continue."

Ranma-chan stared at Goku "No it isn't, I'm not giving up now."

"If you insist, I'll finish it then."

"Time for the Saotome secret technique."

"Oh no..." Freya said.

Ranma ran away.

Goku yelled "Hey! Where do you think you're going?" and ran after him.

"That's the Saotome secret technique?" asked Mimi.

Minako suddenly appeared behind Mimi "Yes that's it!"

The Blue Team was startled "Ah! What are you doing here?"

"Well someone has to explain everyone what's going on, and I'm one of the hostess you know."

"OK" Gatomon said "What is going on?"

Minako cleared her throat "The Saotome secret technique is called Fast Break, and it consists of two parts, First you run away, and then that buys you time to think how to defeat your opponent."

"That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard."

"Hey, but it works! sometimes..."

"How do you know this?" Vivi asked

"Hey, I've been professionally trained for being the hostess of this show. You didn't think they picked me because of my pretty face, did you?"

"At first I thought they did," Mimi said "but then I learned Brock was also a host."

Finally Ranma-chan came running back to where the battle started, she was closely followed by Goku. They both stopped and faced each other.

"Can we stop this and resume fighting?" Goku said while panting.

Ranma-chan was panting too "Yeah... I'm ready." She then turned around and slapped her own butt "Too bad you won't able to catch me little boy."

Goku got angry "I'm not a boy!!" he charged at Ranma-chan.

Ranma-chan took advantage of Goku's momentum, she grabbed him by the shirt and did a leg toss. "Oh come on! Can't you do better than that? Really come on!"

Goku landed on his feet again, he turned around and saw Ranma-chan sticking her tongue at him. He charged again and threw a series of kicks and punches at her.

Ranma-chan had a tough time defending from Goku's kicks and punches, she decided to get out of the way.

Goku quickly followed, but Ranma-chan avoided him again by leaping away.

Ranma-chan laid on the ground "I thought you were faster."

Goku raised his chi level and a white aura surrounded him, he then charged at Ranma-chan.

Ranma-chan quickly got up and avoided Goku, he was quick to follow but she avoided him again and again. They were going around in circles and Goku kept increasing his chi

Freya said "This is getting nowhere, they are just going in circles."

Izzy said "Well,it might be over soon. Goku looks like he's constantly raising his chi Even I can start to feel the energy."

Ash said "Yeah! It feels kind of hot, doesn't it?"

Ryoga thought for a moment "Going in circles? Hot energy? Shit!! RUN!!!" He ran away from the battle.

"What's gotten into Ryoga?" Freya asked.

"I don't know, but my guess is that we should believe him." Ash said as he started running with Pikachu in his arms. The rest of the Team followed.

"What's happening in the Yellow Team?" Gatomon asked.

"I don't know, they can't get away too far without Goku." Vivi said.

"Can you explain this?" Mimi asked Minako

"Um.." Minako was checking a booklet "Let me see... um... ah yes, here it is." Minako read to herself.

"Oh dear, we should run too." She didn't wait for the Blue Team and ran away.

"I don't know what's going on, but let's do what she says." Vivi said.

The Blue Team started running away, but Gatomon went to the doctor's shack.

Beruche was getting up when Gatomon came in.

"Gatomon, what's going on?" Kari asked.

"I'm not sure, but we better get away."

"Can you walk OK?" Kari asked Beruche.

"I'm fine, let's go."

As soon as they got out of the shack Ponyta joined them. Kari wanted Beruche to get on but Beruche and Gatomon insisted Kari got on. They got out of the village.

The Qu's did not understand what was happening.

Goku was still following Ranma-chan in circles.

Suddenly Team Rocket came out of some bushes, they appeared to be lost.

"Are you sure this is where that Ponyta was?" James asked.

"When I tell you I'm sure about something it's because I'm sure about something." Jessie said.

"But all I see is those two going in circles."

"Huh? What?"

Ranma-chan felt there was enough hot energy and released her most powerful move "Rising Dragon Hurricane!!"

A large whirlwind was formed and Goku was shot high into the air. The whirlwind was much larger than anytime Ranma-chan had done the move before, in fact, the whole village of Qu's was shot into the air.

Team Rocket was also blown away by the force of the whirlwind.

"What did we do to deserve this?" Jessie said.

"We didn't even get a chance to say the motto this time." James said.

"I didn't even get a line today, well maybe just this one." Meowth said.

"Team Rocket is blasting off again!!!!"

Both the Blue Team and Yellow Team had witnessed the attack from a distance, neither one could believe it.

"WOW!!" Ash said.

"I have never seen Ranma do that move with so much power," Ryoga said "but then again, Ranma had never faced an opponent. who was able to release so much energy."

Goku was being thrown around inside the whirlwind, he couldn't control himself without being able to fly, and to make it worse pieces of wood were flying everywhere. Goku noticed some Qus trapped in the whirlwind too. He couldn't much sense out of the situation. But there was one thing he was sure off, Ranma-chan was right below him. "Kaa... Meee... Haa... Meeee... Haaaaa!!!" He shot the kamehameha beam straight down the whirlwind.

Ranma-chan was feeling pretty confident, she was sure this meant victory. Then suddenly she saw the large beam headed towards her.

The Blue Team saw as the beam was destroying the whirlwind as it went down, it soon started to rain Qus.

"Oh no!! Ranma!!" Beruche yelled.

"We have to help the Qus!" Vivi said.

"I'm on it!" Palmon said "Palmon digivolves to... Togemon!" She then ran to catch as many Qus as she could.

Kari saw Kabuterimon in the air doing the same.

Freya leaped and caught a Qu, she could barely hold him/her, but she made it safely to the ground with him/her.

Charizard caught a couple more, but couldn't hold them so he had a rough landing with them.

Gatomon tried to catch one but got flattened by it's weight, she at least broke it's fall.

Beruche saw the beam finally reach the ground and made a large explosion, a terribly strong current of air shot out in all directions. Everyone was slightly thrown back.

Goku fell to the ground on his feet, he saw Ranma-chan laying on the ground. "That was a great move! To bad it wasn't enough." He went to help Ranma-chan but then saw it was only a log with Ranma-chan's clothes on. "What the!?"

Ranma-chan leaped behind Goku and hit him on the back of the head, sending Goku slightly flying forward.

Goku took control and landed on his feet again, he turned around and saw Ranma-chan wearing only mud around her body. "Wow!! I'm impressed, how did you escape my kamehameha?"

Ranma-chan smiled "Simple, I used the force of the whirlwind to help me leap far away. Let's continue this!"

"Now this is more fun!!" Goku leaped into the air and shot another energy beam at Ranma-chan.

She barely avoided it and fell on her back. Goku took the chance and fell on Ranma-chan, hitting her in the stomach with his knee. Ranma-chan was at a loss for air but reacted quickly, she grabbed Goku's head in hit him with a heat butt.

Goku leaped back a bit dazed, he almost didn't land on his feet this time.

Ranma-chan stood up, she was about to charge at Goku but he reacted in time.

"HAAA!!" Goku shot another energy beam at Ranma-chan.

Ranma-chan avoided it but couldn't get close to Goku.

Goku was quick enough to get behind Ranma-chan before she know it, she hit her back with his elbow. He then grabbed her by the waist, picked her up and threw her upward.

"Kame..Hame...Ha!!!" he then released another energy beam up into the air.

Ranma-chan turned around and saw the energy beam about to reach her. "This could be the end if I don't do something. Unless... it's worth a try.". The kamehameha was about to hit her when she threw a punch at it "Special Delivery Reversal Dragon Hurricane!"

A really narrow whirlwind was channel through the extent of Goku's Kamehamha. Goku hadn't even noticed until it was to late, he was hit.

Goku was blown far away at great speed, he was sent all the way towards the rock that covered the entrance of the cave the Blue Team had been asked to open. The rock was so hard that Goku was knocked unconscious. when he hit it with his head.

Even though the blast was greatly reduced by Ranma-chan's technique, she did fell some of it and it hurt like hell, she fell to the ground on her back. Moments later she stood up looking for Goku.

Both the Blue Team and the Yellow Team found Goku and Ranma-chan at the same time. Ranma-chan was helping Goku up who was just recovering.

Freya: "What happened?"

Beruche: "More importantly... Ranma why the heck are you naked with only mud covering your body?"

Ash, Izzy and Vivi turned around quickly, even Ryoga who was a bit used to it had to look away.

Ranma-chan: "Hey! Modesty is not a requirement to be a great martial artist, besides, I won!"

The Yellow Team: "WHAT!?"

Goku: "I'm afraid she's right."

Ranma-chan: "He"

Goku: "He... I hit this rock and completely lost it."

Izzy examined the rock. "What kind of rock is this? If Goku hit it with much force it would have shattered." He then noticed the crest of hope on it. "What is this? What's the crest of hope doing here?"

Beruche dragged Ranma-chan away by the ear.

Kari: "We saw this rock before, we couldn't find away to get it out."

Freya: "What's behind it?"

Mimi: "That's what we'd like to know."

Izzy: "Have you guys noticed weird things going around?"

Vivi: "Yeah, but we thought it was all things done for the sake of the challenge."

Izzy: "Well, I thought of that too, but then there are things that simply beg for some explanation. Like this rock, the Red Ribbon, that strange building in New Alexandria, that little digimon that got away."

Freya: "Izzy, you're talking too much."

Gatomon: "Little digimon?"

Kari: "Red Ribbon?"

Vivi: "Strange building?"

Ash: "Well, like Izzy said, this may have nothing to do with the challenge."

Izzy: "Then again it might have to do everything with the challenge."

Ryoga: "What are you saying?"

Izzy didn't respond.

Tentomon: "Wait, Izzy just went into think mode. This going to take a moment."

Mimi: "Oh no, not this again."

Beruche came back with a clean and dressed Ranma-chan. "What are you guys doing?"

Kari: "We're talking about the mysteries of the island."

Ranma-chan: "They're only things setup by the challenge."

Kari: "Izzy has his doubts."

Beruche: "Too bad for him, they owe us a Ruby."

The Yellow Team had a sweatdrop.

Goku: "Ash, give them the Ruby."

Ash: "Are you sure?"

Freya: "Wait, the whole point of this was because Kari was sick and they couldn't go anywhere. But she's right here on top of some fire pony instead of being inside some cabin or something."

Beruche: "She's no longer in the doctor's shack because it's laying in pieces somewhere around here, she still has to rest."

Tentomon: "She's got a point."

Goku: "Besides, we had an agreement, and we can't break it."

Ash gave Beruche the Ruby, she smiled when she saw it.

Ryoga: "Why do you want it anyway? You can't win without your own jewel."

Beruche: "We know, but while we have this you can't win either, and neither can the Red Team. It buys us time."

Ash: "That makes sense."

Freya raised her spear at Beruche's face. "The 48 hours just started, the moment they are over we'll be all over you."

Mimi: "Not this again..."

Palmon: "Mimi, you say that a lot."

Mimi: "Well maybe if the nice things that have happened to me happened again then I wouldn't say it."

Izzy: "Maybe the disk holds a clue, Tai did say it came out of that building."

Everyone looked at Izzy.

Ranma-chan: "What are you talking about?"

Ryoga: "None of your business! Let's go!"

Freya: "I agree with Ryoga, let us continue. But we'll be back before you know it."

Beruche: "Right... shoo! shoo!"

The Yellow Team was about to leave when suddenly they all noticed a bunch of Qus all around them.

Qwolin: "You destroy village and just decide to leave?"

Goku: "Ohoh... ooops."

Freya: "Hey! We saved you from falling to your doom."

Qwolin: "You send us up there in the first place."

Tentomon: "He or she has a point."

Beruche: "Why don't you build another one?"

Qwoling: "Why don't YOU build other one?"

Suddenly Minako came back "Hey wait!" Everyone looked at Minako who ran towards Qwolin. "I have receive a message from my superiors, a crew is on it's way to fix your village. They just ask that you leave both teams alone."

Qwolin looked at his/her people, and then back at Minako"Fine, we accept."

Everyone sighed.

Freya: "Let us be on our way then."

The Yellow Team left.

Gatomon: "Let us find you a suitable place to rest Kari."

Kari: "OK"

Qwolin went back to his house, or was left of it anyway (the floor and a piece of the rear wall). He took out a false board out of the floor and took out some sort of device that looked like a small TV. Suddenly Dr. Izumi appeared on the screen.

"I be reporting sir."

"Have they opened the entrance yet?"

"Not yet, but they work on it."

"How did you convince them?"

"Offer them badge and they do anything."

"Hehe... very well. Make sure they do it though."

"I not fail."

"For your sake, I hope not."

Sora was just outside of what was left of the village, Biyomon was nowhere to be seen. "Hello! This is Sora reporting, not Biyomon, Sora! Biyomon is taking care of some very important business."

(View changes to Biyomon in front of a large blackboard writing 'I will not try to replace my partner as the hostess' several times.)

"That was an interesting series of matches we saw back, they definitely made this show worthwhile. The situation just got very interesting, the Blue Team now has both of the other teams' jewels but doesn't have its own. Will the Yellow Team keep their word? What will the Blue Team do to prevent the same thing to happened that with the Red Team? Is Izzy right about the Ultimate Challenge? Even I don't know what's going on, really! I've also had my doubts ever since I saw Kyougumon, what gives? Well, anyway, let's take you to Brock and the Red Team! See ya!"

Usagi was at the beach, she was in the tourist trap known as Hiwaka, the same place where the Blue Team had spend their first night. She was enjoying the sun when suddenly a hand touched her shoulder. She turned around and saw Michiru. "Michiru! What a nice surprise to see you here! are you and Haruka here on vacation? Where is Haruka anyway?"

Michiru sat besides Usagi "No, I'm not on vacation, and Haruka is not here."

"What are you doing here."

"Looking for you, it took us a while."

"What do you need me for?"

Suddenly a man walked up towards Michiru"For crying out loud woman! how long is it going to take!?"

Michiru stood up "Will you keep quiet!? We don't want to gain attention."

Usagi stood up "Who is this man."

Michiru sighed "This is Vegeta, and we're working together."

"Working together in what?"

"We can't explain here, we need you to come with us."

"What? Where?"

Vegeta was getting impatient "Just do it! We don't have time!"

"You're not very nice." Usagi said.

"I agree," Michiru said "but he is right. We need you to come with us."

"Why? I'm on vacation."

"Sorry to bother you Usagi, but it's very important. We'll explain everything once we get there.

Usagi pouted "Mamoru hasn't even arrived yet, and I haven't had ONE margarita."

Vegeta said "You can have one on the way, but let's get going!"

"That's not the point!"

"Fine! Then you won't have anything."

"Meany!!"

The 3 left the beach.
